The PATA Gold Awards 2020 winners will be announced live at this virtual awards ceremony!

Join us in celebrating outstanding achievements within the travel and tourism industry in Asia Pacific at the PATA Gold Awards 2020 Ceremony. The Gold Awards 2020 Ceremony is open to all.

Supported and sponsored by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) since 1995, this year’s awards will recognize the achievements of 21 Gold Awards and three Grand Title Winners across the categories of Marketing, Sustainability and Human Capital Development in travel and tourism.

The PATA Gold Awards 2020 attracted 121 entries from 62 organizations and individuals worldwide. Winners were selected by an independent judging committee of 16 personalities from various destinations.

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director, Macao Government Tourism Office

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes speaks fluent English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Portuguese. With 10-years of experience and relentless dedication to her work, she became one of the two Deputy Directors in September of 1998, where she continues to be highly involved in the marketing and promotion of Macao as a tourism destination. Ms. Fernandes was appointed as Director of MGTO in December of 2012. Read more >

Dr Mario Hardy, CEO, PATA

Dr. Hardy was appointed CEO of PATA in November 2014 and is also the past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PATA Foundation, a nonprofit organisation with a focus on the protection of the environment, the conservation of culture and heritage, and support for education. He has 30 years of experience in specialised aviation businesses focusing on data analytics and technology, coupled with several corporate leadership capacities. Read more >

Paul Pruangkarn, Director - Communications & External Affairs, PATA

Paul Pruangkarn oversees day-to-day operations of all communications and serves as the senior spokesperson for the Association. He works to enhance its public image through various media outlets and maintains the Association’s media partnerships with such organizations as BBC World News, National Geographic Traveller, Skift, TTG Asia, Travel Weekly Group and the Professional Travel Bloggers Association.
