Attend online or in-person (invitation-only)

COVID-19 has drastically changed the entire travel and tourism landscape, and, some would argue, changed it forever.

Since March of this year, the travel and tourism industry has almost entirely come to a complete standstill and there is little hope for full recovery before 2021. According to a policy brief from the United Nations (UN) released earlier this year outlining COVID-19’s impact on the tourism industry, nearly US$1 trillion in losses in international visitors’ spending and over 100 million direct tourism jobs are at risk globally if a solution to reopen borders and rebuild consumer confidence is not found in the months to come. At stake, we are looking at a loss of 1.5% to 2.8% of global GDP, with the most vulnerable directly affected.

Asia Pacific will be the leading force of tourism’s global recovery from COVID-19, as both an inbound destination as well as a robust source market. With domestic tourism opening up in many destinations in the region and borders slowly re-opening, current data and trends are already providing early indications on the outlook of travel and tourism as we head into 2021.

Join us for this complimentary hybrid event to gain the latest insights into the current trends shaping the recovery of travel and tourism in the region. Due to limited seating, PATA members, sponsors and invited guests will be given priority seating for the event. International guests will have the opportunity to join the event virtually. For inquiries about the joining the event in-person, please email membership@PATA.org
